One of 26 lettered (T) copies of the Crimson Oasis edition; apparently Miller and Reichel lost track somewhat during the signing of this edition, there are two copies with the letter "T" both signed by Miller, of which this is one. Signed and dated by Miller.
Tucson, Arizona: Loujon Press, 1966. Illustrated.
Quarto, maroon half leather lettered in gilt, brown cloth, patterned rice paper overlay, slipcase with crimson cork veneer, in original cardboard box. The handmade papers came from Italy and Japan, and the corks from Portugal. The Gainsborough 80 lb paper for the text was hand fed to a letterpress, pictorial dust jacket. As new.
The book won the prestigious award for typography and Type Direction & Design in the Type Directors Club Annual Awards Show, New York City, and was considered one of the best books published in 1966. It is a magnificent book with incredible attention to detail in design, layout and production, and is a feast for both visual and tactile senses. [Shifreen & Jackson A157a].
